This is the production brief have have chosen to promote - Lucy Star. The title of the single being released is "Material Girl". Lucy is an individual who is different from everyone else; someone who defies the social norm. She doesn't have a label because she is one of a kind and so different, the judges on X-Factor didn't put her through to the live shows. Now Lucy is lucky enough to promote her own individual self with the help of Rough Trade. She wants to show to teenage girls around the world that individuality is a good thing, and you shouldn't be afraid to be different.

The shots of the first location in the music video is a white background; which is in the Welling School's art gallery. we decided this place as the group thought its bright 'almost heaven like'.

"This heavenly atmosphere from this location will create a pure and elegant tone at the beginning of our music video" as said by Lawrence

Jonas Akerlund- Madonna

Jonas Akerlund, is a Swedish born, film and music video director. He is infamously known for his music videos, as they are most oftenly (if not always), classed as short films rather than your basic music video. His most famous music video that he directed was back in 1998 for Madonna's single - "Ray Of Light". This music video won the Grammy for "Best Short Form Music Video". This video also won a further seven awards at the 1998 MTV Music Video Awards, including "Video Of The Year".



Then in 2000, Jonas Akerlund directed another video for Madonna. This was for her single - Music.
In 2003, Jonas also directed the video to Madonna's "American Life", "Jump" in 2006 and "Celebration" in 2009. Celebration is the latest video he has directed for her.
